02:18 pm - A restaurent visit that will make me think twice..

It's a nice place.. located @ a very secluded corner off Sembawang Road..

Their Theme was that you get to eat Free & fresh popped Popcons during your meals.. :)
The 1st time I went there was to celebrate my colleague's birthday.. & since it's very near my place.. I thought I'd like to bring A there to try out their food.


This was our 2nd visit. The buffalo wing was really yummy.. but unfortunately, they don't really know how to handle steak. so bleah for that. The Oreo milkshake was fantastic..

I tried their fish & chips & another fish with Cheeze toppings earlier.. they're really really good too..


& within 1 week span, we went there the 2nd time. this time we tried out their chicken cutlet.. was ok.. but the chix was too big that it was not fully cooked.. (minus points).. the burger was Great!..

But what happened this time was about to change my pespective of the restaurent..

Just when we're almost done with out food... The owner was serving drinks to the table next to us.. For duno what reason, she lost her balance & the entire glass full of Ice peach tea drenched me. more than 1/2 of my body was wet.. My pants was soaked through.. she apologised & quickly by saying " Paisay Paisay" pass me more napkins to clean myself up. she then proceed back to do her own work & to the cashier to deal with some customers ordering.

But unfortunately the amount of napkins she handed over to me wasn't enough to even clean & wipe my leg area.. I had to walk back to the counter to ask for more napkins!..

What i was surprised was that .. as a owner.. That's the only apology that she made to me.. the word "paisay Paisay"!?!?!?!.. That's IT!. She didn't bother to even come back to my table to check if I'm ok... She didn't even bother to apologise again.. & she didn't even bother to offer us something to compensate for it. I had to go back to bath because it was so sticky when the Ice peach tea dried up.

Imagine.. the entire drink spill onto my beloved Bubble Quilt?!.. It'll get soak through & for this, even if you have $, u might not find it anymore... or worse.. a Birkin that costs 10s of thousands of dollars. It'll not be a simple "Apology" anymore.

As a owner, she was busy collecting $ at the cashier taking in new business than care about what has happened to her customer. So for this, despite the food is not bad.. i'll hesitate going back again..

We considered these GOOD dinner.. See.. We're really typical singaporeans... Food food & more food..& the best is hawker food :P.. it's something really unique about singapore i suppose..

For those away From sg?.. this is for u to salivate :P



The top left drinks.. its the Lychee drink + Sugar cane.

A was fantastic enough to polish up most of it.. his fav?.. The Herbal Mutton Soup.. I didn't quite like it cos i find it a tad too sweet.. the rest was juz HAVEN!

Well, it may not be new.. but these are the 2 places that I've tried recently..

This place is Jones Groceries... It's off dempsey hill.. very chic setting with a supermarket & dine in concept. Alot lf Ang mors like this place.. I don't know why,.. their sour dough is really good. i LOVE them.. Their breaky is nice too.. but the $ is far too steep for my liking..

01:54 pm - A Delicated Food Post..

Have been eating like a PIG & doing extra workout to burn all the FATS.. YUCKS.. As disgusting as it sound.. i can't stop eating these good food!!!



This is just beside our regular sashimi supermarket.. The supermarket sells meat.. & have a small section that allows dine in.. We tried their pork knuckles.. & Waygu Beef Burger.. I like the burger very much!! :) They even sell the patti.. :)


I am a hawker junkie too!.. this is from Eastcoast!.. It's been close to 3 years since I've ate there. Previously when Eugene was still inside my stomach, I had to go there every week to eat the Wanton mee :)..

& The last one is a place called Chang .. Korean BBQ place off Dempsey Hill.. I was searching the web & it happened to be listed as one of the more popular places.. decide to give it a try.. I must say the $ is rather steep.. But I definitely like their BBQ..


We ordered a Set beef. & then 1 Bibimbap(sorry I duno how to spell :P) & a toufu soup..



The sides are pretty good.. But the only thing is that they don't have those kimchi raddish that I really adore.

Overall, It's quite a nice place.. & I'll definitely go back again..

This Year's mother's day, Alf was away on Biz @ macau.. Yeah.. How I wish I was there with him so that I could juz go to HKG to shop shop shop.. But too bad.. i can't ..haiz.

Well, I treated my parents to Lei Gardens for Dim Sum.. Been wanting to try to food @ Lei.. Overall, I think it's alright. I still prefer Dim Sum elsewhere.. but I have to say they did well on the char siew bao.. & their desert..

Notice E?.. being Little Yellow Ridding Hood :D Little Rascal have been showing me his tongue whenever i ask him :D yeah.. Speech Theraphy.. we need to bring his tongue out to Lick onto something so as to strengthen the core muscles.

Yes .. I'm busy.. but that doesn't stop my mouth from eating .. :D went to a few places.. some are repeated .. but thought of sharing some "local delights" here..

The 1st place is a bar setup @ Orchid Country Club.. A & I went there one of the wkday evenings to enjoy the ambience..


I like the Jumbo Dog there.. yum yum.. but the thing is that they serve mostly finger food.. so it's not really filling..


The 2nd place we went to is back to Sakuraya.. For the Fresh Super duper fresh sashimi.. after eating at this outlet.. I swear off all sashimi from most of the japanese restaurent.. because it's juz so fresh & good here.. You get to eat all the exotics too.. I've learnt to eat the Jack Makerel, Amber Jack, Flat Fish & fresh cockles there.. :)

The sake was good.. I looked very much like a lobster @ the end of it :P It was rather embarrasing eventhough i wasn't drunk, I was SUPER RED..

Oh.. btw, the Noodles is actually instant noodles from japan. Super yum!


The Finale of this post is a place that I've not been visiting for the past 2 years.

WHY? Bcos the hawker center underwent renovation & I wasn't very keen on the Temp Hawker center they put up elsewhere..



My All time favorite ClayPot rice @ Smith Street Hawker center(Chinatown)..
Sorry arh.. I forgot the name of the place but It's been one of the best that I've ate. :D..

If I have to recommend 1 place to eat Waygu Beef. I'd highly recommend Angus House. Not that I've tried alot of places.. but the beef here's SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Tender & juicy! No regrets dining here & Will definitely go back again :) given it's strategic location @ Ngee Ann city.. hiak hiak :D

I shall not say more. but juz let you drool over the pictures.




A had the Wagyu Beef Set while I have the Lobster Set.. I actually regreted not ordering the Wagyu Beef set.. Not because the lobster is bad.. juz that we can't get enuff of that piece of BEEF!

It's the 1st time I attempt Japanese Rice.. aka.. Japanese rice With vinegar such that it's sticky.. :)

I tried out Cold toufu too was SUPER DELICIOUS! :) & Fried pork..I like it such that EVERYTHING japanese really kinda "instant" & "mobile"


Try the sauce @ the bottom out. It goes very well with Organic Toufu Or any fried thingy..

One of the friday that A was able to "book out" from his camp.. we HAD to rush to this place @ jalan kayu to have my Mee goreng.. :P yes I got CRAVING for thaT!..


But i really regret big time after eating the dinner cos it's simply FAR TOO FILLING for us! Yummy.. but suffer after..

I think I can consider A & Myself Sashimi freak.. We can practically eat the WHOLE fish!.. It'd be better off if they give us the fish to slice ourselves haha..

A's friend/customer brought him to this "fish market" @ Parkway parade for Fresh fish.. He was thrilled.. the next day.. He brought me there!

I Tell u!! It's FREAKING FRESH.. Fish arrives every Tuesday & Friday from Japan. & hor. I saw a preggy eating there. So u can imagine the freshness :)
